Saint Jude

Saint Jude

Saint Jude is the saint of lost causes. We call upon him when we are in deep despair, he works the impossible. When you call on him for help you must place an advertisement in your local news paper thanking him, and singing his praises. The colors associated with Saint Jude are red, white and green. Sunday is the day of the week to start a petition to saint Jude. Call on him at midnight the time between the darkest time of night and the morning light. Along with the advertisement in the news paper you need to offer him three shiny pennies; also give him a glass of water. To your altar you can add a piece of broken chain; symbolizing that the chains that have kept you bound in misery has been broken. Add a picture of yourself that was taken when you were very happy can also be added. Saint Jude will grant freedom to those who are locked away, either in jail or in their own minds. He is the Saint of freedom. If you are depressed and in deep despair; set up your altar and light a white candle to Saint Jude. Pray and pour your heart out to him and he will lift the darkness, so the light can come in. Ask him to break the chains that hold you down; to lift you up and set you free from the dark bounds that hold you. He will rescue you and set you free. Blessed be Saint Jude. Below is a novena to Saint Jude.

Novena to Saint Jude

To Saint Jude, Holy Saint Jude, Apostle and Martyr, great in virtue and rich in miracles, near kinsman of Jesus Christ, faithful intercessor of all who invoke your special patronage in time of need. To you I have recourse from the depths of my heart and humbly beg to whom God has given such great power to come to my assistance. Help me in my present and urgent petition, in return I promise to make your name known and cause you to be invoked. Saint Jude pray for us and all who invoke your aid. Amen.
