I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday. I had a house full. My brother came for a visit and we were talking about stuff that we saw when we were growing up. The subject came around to our Grandma and dipping snuff. We had a good laugh at each other; because we had both as children tried to dip it like Grandma did and ended up getting sick as dogs. Our Grandma dipped snuff for as long as I can remember. My brother reminded me of how she would place a small pinch on each side of the door stoop. I had forgotten. Odd Man Out

I have been told many times by students and others how lucky I am to have been raised in a home where conjure work is built into our way of life. Yesterday I learned two things while I was attending the funeral for my sons father-in-law; one is my family was differently raised different and two Conjure is a living Tradition. Folks can debate about it all they want to but REAL Conjure is a living tradition.

I have never really been to a funeral outside of my family or folks who were raised as we were. There is a big big difference. I could never understand why some folks are jealous of me or feel threatened by my knowledge on-line. I never saw a difference until yesterday. Even my daughter noticed. No one gave him notes of love, or his coffee, or cigarettes, there was nothing; No one paid to enter the graveyard, stuck money in his pocket. If this means I’m backwards, odd, or very lucky to have been raised in a home where conjure was an everyday practice, then I now gladly wear that coat.

Conjure is more than the work, its built into your life. It is a living tradition; a way of life. I finally see you can teach the working part of conjure but in order to really understand it you have to live it. This was a big eye opener for me and I will never look at my family the same. I have always been proud of my ancestors, but today I look at them in a whole new light. When so many were running to change their lives because they didn’t want to be considered “backwards”, they wanted to become modern; my family held on to the old ways with both hands and dug in. Healing Power of God

Exodus 15 V 26

²⁶ and said, “If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you.”

God is a powerful healer whose Spirit cleanses, heals, and uplifts us. Because the Spirit of God is in the Word (Bible) you can work with your Bible to heal illnesses and crossed conditions. The first thing you have to do before you even start healing work is believe that you are already healed. This is the first step. Your faith in the healing process makes the work successful.

No matter how bad the situation is or overwhelming the blocks your faith is what matters. Most of the time the biggest block to healing is us. We stand in the way of our own healing because of fears, worry, doubt, and inner turmoil. As humans we hold on to stuff that needs to be let go. Stop thinking about the past and let that mess go so you can move forward. It’s old mess from the past like unforgivingness, hate, resentment, and grudges that creates stress, depression, disease, and all kinds of negative conditions that plague us today. Let it go so you can be productive in life.

That’s why I included Exodus 15 V 26 because it does two things: (1) you are petitioning God to lead you in the path that’s right for you, and (2) claiming God’s healing as yours. By working the bible verse you are asking God to show you what you cannot see and uplift you where you need uplifting. That’s the best way I can explain it.

To do this healing work, find you a white candle. Tear out Exodus 15 V 26. Write your full name and the condition on the bible verse. Burn the verse to ash and sprinkle the ash on the white candle going away from you. Hold the white candle and a photo of yourself in your hands and ask God to fill you with healing power. Speak out loud from your heart about the situation and why you need healing. God hears all prayer but stating your petition out loud will help you build power in yourself and the work so it is a total success.

Dress your head with olive oil in a cross shape. Light the white candle on top of your photo and state the bible verse with your petition at least three times in the name of the Holy Trinity. If you have personal prayers you can also work with those.

Everyday state your petition with bible verse three times over the candle. Do this work when the hands of the clock are going down to remove the negative condition…Drlovebug

Learning Conjure from Your Elders

Too many Internet hoodoos focus on the "work" in Conjure instead of the foundation that builds up the power in the work because they weren't taught by their elders. Candles, herbs, powders, etc are a part of Conjure but they are not the be all and end all of Hoodoo. Learning Conjure from your elders is a blessing because you are blessed with gifts that money can't buy only if you LISTEN and pay ATTENTION. By listening to your elders and showing them respect you learn to have discernment which is missing in many modern day Hoodoo workers.

I've noticed over the years that online workers limit themselves to the props but don't actually know how to work. Folks online seem to think that all you need is a recipe but there's a lot more to it than a recipe or formula. Another issue is that hoodoos on the Internet are all rehashing the same information from Hyatt and literary sources. This is the first way to tell a book worker from a real conjure worker who was taught by older folks. You can collect recipes all day but if you weren't taught this work from your elders you won't know what to do with it which shows a lack of maturity. This brings up my next point that you'll see in workers taught by their elders is maturity.

Real workers who learned from their elders don't go around throwing for folks and creating mess. You won't find much of this in the real world outside of the Internet because old workers don't have time for bullshit. Hey I have to keep it real here. All that folks on the Internet talk about is graveyard work, crossing folks up, working with dark spirits and works that aren't meant for most people to know about. Yeah I said it. There are certain works that people don't need to know because it's none of their business. It'll do more harm than good because they don't know what they're doing. I promise you that if you ever meet old workers they don't go around spouting off nasty work for everyone to learn. Most people are not mature or level headed enough to handle that kind of work. Know your place.

When you learn Conjure work from old workers you are taught to build up your power from the ground up just like a house. You have to first lay out a strong foundation and make sure it is level before you can build a house otherwise your life will fall apart. Our elders teach us to develop discernment and have wisdom. You learn these things as you grow. Your elders help you to find your place in the world so you can grow not only as a spiritual worker but as a human being.

Wisdom and discernment are the most important qualities you'll find in conjure workers who learned from their elders. These characteristics are two sides of a coin. The Spirit of Discernment allows you to look beyond the layers to see the truth as it is while the Spirit of Wisdom shows you how to respond appropriately in situations. Saint Judes Feast

              I tried to take a picture of my saint Jude statue he is about 3 feet tall.

A small statue of St Jude was given to me 30 years ago when I first met my sister-in-law. She gave it to me to place in my truck. That is where I keep it. If I get a new vehicle the St. Jude comes along too. He has always been very personal for me so I really haven’t ever talked about my work with him. Not too long ago I kept seeing St Jude everything; everywhere I looked. He has been my special saint for 30 years. I petition him for major issues for myself and my clients; this year it seems like I have ask for more help from him than I have in the past. He has not let me down.

I have always done a small feast for him starting the week of his feast day through; but this year he has really blessed me, my loved ones and some of my clients. So in honor of his help I am starting his altar for his feast today and will add to it all month. Blue Candles for Money

Most people learning hoodoo on the Internet know for prosperity work to use green candles because they symbolize growth. I learned to work this way and it's great but I also learned about blue candles which you don't hear much about on the Internet.

Blue is one of the strongest colors you can use to draw money because when you fix a blue candle for money work it will remove blocks over your finances. You can work with a blue candle or a blue Money House Blessing vigil. It has a Native American warrior on it.

When I petition Black Hawk to remove money blocks I burn the House Blessing vigil inside his pot with my petition, bible verse, and herbs loaded into the vigil. Every time I work with him this way I see an increase in my blessings. Black Hawk will not draw money to you but he'll protect your money. He's also a fighter so when I offer him a blue vigil he uses it to bust up all blocks holding my money in a bind.

Some workers will tell you that you can't work with blue or purple candles to attract money to you but I disagree. Here's why. Blue cleanses your money. Purple gives you power over your finances. If you want to be on top of your finances you have to protect what you got and control your money. Blue and purple candles will help you do just that.

To draw money to you get a blue, white, and purple candle. Ask Spirit to remove blocks over your money with the blue candle, to answer your prayer with the white candle, and to help you control your finances with the purple candle. Write your personal petition in the wax of the white candle and load it. Load the other candles with your petitions and herbs.

Light the candles in a straight line with the blue on one side, the purple on another, and the white candle in the middle. This will help you with your money. Drlovebug

Petitioning Saint Michael

St Michael Nailing Down the Devil

 

In my last post I spoke about honoring Saint Michael on his birthday. Here we're going to talk a little about how to petition him. Most folks know he can be petitioned for protection work but Saint Michael can do many things. Since he's called on to put the fiery wall of protection around you we'll get into that.

 

To do simple fiery wall of protection work write your names, ALL MY LOVED ONES, and a petition in the wax of a red candle. Add your protection herbs and roots and dress the candle with holy oil. Hold the candle to your mouth and ask Saint Michael to protect you. Petition God to place a fiery wall of protection around the family that can't be crossed. Light the fixed red candle on a photo of you and your loved ones.

 

Everyday state your petition as the candle burns. If using a stick candle burn it in sections for 7 days. On day number 9 place the photo under a statue of Saint Michael. You can also make a small conjure prayer packet of red flannel with the photo, bible verse burnt to ash, and three special ingredients that will lend power to that packet. When you tie up your packet place it under your statue so St Michael will stand on guard. If you have a photo frame place the packet behind the photo.

Honoring Saint Michael: September 29th

 

I just want to remind everyone that Saint Michael's day of celebration is September 29th. Any day is good to serve Spirit but it's good to remember your spiritual protectors on their holy days because that's what the saints are. The saints protect your blessings, pray with you when you serve God, and bless you when you most need it. We have to always be thankful to God for what we have but you have to remember his servants too. They work hard when doing God's work and stand by your side.

 

I honor Saint Michael because he is so special to me. He has helped me found strength in trials that I never thought I had so I give all due credit and thanks to Saint Michael. He is a protector of my family.

 

You don't have to do a big elaborate setup when you honor the Spirit. If you can give some flowers and a vigil candle do that. If all you got is a tealight then light that tealight to the Spirit. Give whatever you can even if it's just prayer. Give thanks to God and show the Saints how much you love them. Prayer from the heart is the most powerful offering to Spirit.

 

As you honor the Saints on their holy days that is the perfect time to renew your vows to Spirit. Thank the Saints for their blessings you received during the year and ask them to continue showing favor in your life. Find something to be grateful about because you have a lot of be thankful for even if it's just being alive. I know this is hard sometimes even for me but everyone has something to be grateful about in their lives. Find that and cherish it!

 

Since I'm writing about Saint Michael let's talk about honoring him. The simplest thing you can do is light a red candle to him dressed with holy oil and pray. Anytime I pray I always start with 3 Our Fathers, 3 Hail Mary's, and a Glory Be with a revocation. Then I say my prayers to Saint Michael and thank him for having my back for the year. I remind Saint Michael that I'll always need him and appreciate his help in my life. This is to show Spirit that I know what Spirit does in my favor and I appreciate it. I always count my blessings as best as I can.

 

Some saints can be really picky about who they work with but Saint Michael can be petitioned by anyone whose heart is in the right place. If you have never worked with him before but feel called try honoring him on his birthday and see what happens. Drlovebug

The Holy Family & Your Ancestors for Peaceful Home

The Holy Family can be petitioned for any need you have but I'll talk about how to work with them to protect the family right along with your ancestors. I want to mention here that Family (yes with a capital F) is really important to me! I say this because Family is all that you have in the world.

Your foundation begins with the family. Your roots come from your ancestors. This is why it's really important to honor and work with your ancestors. Some workers will tell you that you aren't supposed to work with your dead and that it's only acceptable to honor them but I'll tell you that's a bunch of hogwash. I'm not going to rehash this argument here but I'm making a point.

Because your ancestors are the roots of your tree you have to honor them because you come from them. When you pay respects to your dead you are honoring your roots and your heritage. This is important for everyone especially people of Colour. Regardless of your ethnic background honor your dead people and show them some love because they deserve it. By paying due respect to your ancestors you are honoring your family which leads me to my next point about protecting the family.

Nobody's family is perfect. There'll always be ups and downs but some situations that happen in families are completely uncalled for. That's where conjure work comes in. I'm a big believer in working on the family to make sure everything runs smooth. I will do everything it takes to protect my family because they are an extension of my well-being. I'm sure most of y'all feel the same way.

I used to hesitate a lot when it came to locking down the bs in my family through conjure work. I felt sorry for them because I didn't want to go 'to that level' so to speak. I figured things would work out and I decided to remain in the corner. That's until I had it. Sometimes as a part of protecting your family you have to make a step forward and put your foot down where it won't move.

The most powerful way you can work Conjure to bring peace in the family is by petitioning your ancestors. You don't even have to light a candle or throw together a bunch of roots and herbs. Just a simple call to your Ancestors to get their attention and a strong petition so they can simmer the mess down. I do this when I need an extra hand to manage my kinfolks.

For those of y'all that need something to work with tear out Isaiah 26 V 3 from your bible. Write "PEACE BE STILL" or a similar petition on the Bible verse. Burn the bible verse to ash and load a white vigil candle with the ash. Don't add any names or personal effects to this candle. Light the vigil on your ancestor altar and state the verse out loud with your petition. You'll notice a difference immediately when you petition your ancestors esp in family matters. Here's the verse for your pleasure:

because they trust in you.

This is really simple and effective. As a part of protecting the family and keeping peace in the home you can also petition the Holy Family. Jesus, Mary, & Joseph make the Holy Family. They are God's example of how a family should love and treat one another. You can petition them to be a model for your loved ones so your home will always be a happy one. Not only will the Holy Family keep a peaceful home but they will also bring prosperity to the home and help you count your blessings.

To petition the Holy Family find a picture that you can work with. If you have the nativity scene with Jesus, Mary, and Joseph in the manger that's perfect for this work! A lot of folks have this in their home as part of Christmas decorations so check your pantry. Hold the picture to your mouth and say your prayers. Ask the Holy Family to protect your loved ones and bring prosperity in the home.

Write your petition and any special prayers for the family on a picture of you and your loved ones. Burn the photo to ash and load the ash into a blue vigil candle. You don't have to use vigils. I like them for different reasons. Dress your candle with olive oil, a power root, and a peaceful herb. To top of your work sprinkle a little powdered sugar on the vigil candle.

Place the Holy Family picture in the living room or kitchen and burn the blue vigil on top of it. You can also prop the photo on the hearth as a decorative piece and burn the vigil next to it. When you start working with the Holy Family you will feel it immediately.

Our Ancestors

My family has always honored our dead folks. We decorate their graves on Birthdays and Holidays. We keep their graves clean; when things are going on in our lives you might find us at the graveyard visiting them. When there is a get together they are there with us because we talk about old times and the things that have past. For me this is how it has always been. When we say our nightly prayers they are also included in them. For a long time I thought every family was like mine concerning their dead. I have since learned better.

Some will say that you shouldn’t petition your ancestors to help you when you need help. I was taught after God they are the ones you should be talking to. If I have a big issue for myself or a client I will petition my ancestors to help solve the problem. I don’t force them I ask them. If they don’t want to help then I ask them what I can do to fix the problem. For me there is nothing wrong with this. They are my blood and I come from them. They struggled so I could get where I am today. We should never forget those who came before us.

I don’t petition them for every little thing, just when I feel I need a little extra help. I honor them daily with a prayer before I go to sleep, on Mondays I refresh them with cool water, prayer and a vigil. Sometimes more is added. More folks need to honor their dead and remember them and the struggles they went through so they could have a better life. They will protect you and yours when it is needed. They will make wrongs right or help push through a job that seems impossible. I think it is disrespectful to just forget about our dead.

You don’t have to have a huge space set up for them, maybe just a cluster of photos of those who have past. I have a small bit of graveyard dirt from my ancestors in South Carolina mixed with a little from my folks buried here in Texas. It pulls them together. Some will say you shouldn’t have graveyard dirt from your ancestors out; but for my ancestors it works. You always have to do what is right for you. Being raised in family it is the right thing for me. The photo above is of my ancestor altar and yes it has some work going on it. Oh My! Let’s Talk Conjure/Root Doctor

For sure there is more than one way to do the work it depends on where you are from. This little blog post is not so much about the work as it is how folks perceive what a conjure worker does. This is just my opinion and we know what they say about opinions. It seems that most workers now day’s focus on the work only; meaning love work, money work, and so on and so on. So folks who have never been around a traditional worker are under the misconception that this is all there is to being a conjure worker or root doctor as some are called. It is much more than that. This is where you can tell the difference between an old worker and someone who was self -taught or learned from books and such.

The first thing is that you want find many old workers on-line period. I was bullied into putting up my website, conned might be a better term; by a few of my students, my children and my grandchildren.  Since I started learning at the age of 18 I never advertised my work. I worked by word of mouth only. I never hid what I did my house was full of my altars. When we were growing up our Mama had some funny ways, “so we thought”. We had to take our shoe’s off at the door, you couldn’t play with the broom, we cleaned the graves of our dead folks, you learned your Bible and you learned to pray, the photos of our dead were never allowed with the living; my Grandma said it’s because it would make the dead hunger for their blood, we have always taken photos of our dead, my Mama doctored us or treated us as some call it. The list goes on and on. Then at 18 I was taught how to do hands on cleansing and healings working with candles and prayers.

I was taught healing before I was ever taught to do any of the work. I think and from what I have seen and been taught most conjure workers are truly healers first and foremost; the work just goes along with it. There are customs that are carried through the family. It comes natural because we have lived it every day of our lives. We have a New Year’s Eve custom that I was taught as a child, my whole family does it every New Year’s Eve. The house is cleaned; the porch and the stoops are cleaned a new broom is bought and left on the front stoop. Right before midnight everyone gathers at the front door, if you are in the house then you go out the back door. Right at midnight one of the male family members takes the new broom into the house. It has to be a male or the home will have bad luck all year. I always wanted to be the one who carried the broom. Why do we do this? I don’t know it is something my family has always done. The point is that most folks from the south do some of these same things in their families. It is more to being a conjure worker than just doing love work and such; it is a way of life in everything you do. Some folks will never understand that. WHAT! The Bible As A Spell Book

I read something I never thought I would see. This has nothing to do with Witchcraft or spell work. I don’t really care what others believe; that is their business. Some folks who are very dear to me are Witches. This has to do with speaking out of the side of your mouth. I think that if you profess to be a solid Christian and you look down on folks that aren’t then you really need to watch what you put out there on the internet. It might bite you in the ass if your head swells too much.  I leave it up to y’all to decide. Do you think a Traditional Conjure worker who professes to be a rock solid Christian would use the words “Old Testament Spell’s”?

The thing is that when you are busy sweeping around other folks doors when you should be sweeping around your own SHIT happens. Don’t throw stones at other folks when it is obvious that you yourself once practiced a religion you now look down on. I’m just sick of all this “Bull Shit” and all these so called big bad workers. Before you say well Starr you use the word “spell”; yes I do I had to in order to even get my little website into the search engines. The thing is that 90% of the folks on-line who claim to be Traditional home grown workers, and who grew up with conjure wouldn’t know squat if they hadn’t taken “Cat’s”  http://www.luckymojo.com/mojocourse.html on-line course. Her course list of students is on-line anyone can look at it. It’s easy to tell who is a teacher’s student by the way they work and by the way they talk about the work. It’s also easy to tell an old school worker by what they teach and the way they talk about the work.

 I’m saying folks need to be themselves. I mean no insult to anyone here; but if your family came from another country where they don’t have a clue what conjure is and you are the first born in this country then you were not raised in a home that practiced conjure. Be proud of what your family has taught you; don’t take someone else’s heritage to make a buck. I’m sure some want like this but I’m tired of these Holier than Thou folks who think they are better than other folks but have walked in the same shoes as the ones they NOW look down on.  Momma Starr

Working Conjure Jars with Sugars...

 
Most folks on the Internet know about honey jars in Conjure work. Honey is strong but it can work slow. I was taught that if you want to speed up any work you're doing then add powdered sugar. I have found this to be true through personal experience.

Sugar works fast in Conjure work. Powdered sugar works even FASTER because of the texture. What folks need to remember is that the texture of your sweeteners can and do affect your work. Some online workers will tell you otherwise but conjure work is all about common sense as far as I'm concerned. For example molasses is sweet but it runs slow. If you put something in molasses it will SLOW it down! This is why molasses is used in Conjure to slow something down or bring a situation to a complete HALT!

If you want to do the opposite then use sugar or syrup in your conjure jars. Sugar and syrup works so strong because as you shake the jar it will move just as fast as you work the conjure jars. This is why honey can bring slow results at times because it runs slow. I'm not saying honey isn't good for work but I am stating that as good as it is honey can make your work a little slow. If you're looking for an extra push then you're better off working with sugar or syrups like karo or maple syrup for example. When you put together your sweetening jar don't forget to shake it up while stating your petition. This is how you work a conjure jar. Some online hoodoo rootworkers do not work this way and might tell you different but this is the way I was taught to get the job done and it works plain and simple. Just try it and see what happens. I think you'll notice a difference in your work. As they say "Different strokes for different folks."

One way I was taught by Momma Starr to work a powerful conjure jar or any work for that matter is to build up your work in layers. If you are putting together a sweetening jar first you add a layer of powdered sugar at the bottom of the jar while stating your prayers to God. Tear out the bible verse or chapter from Scripture and write out your petition on the bible verse. Add your power roots, herbs, and ingredients to the petition and fold the petition TOWARDS you around the roots and herbs into a little packet. As you fold the packet towards you state your petition. Now you got a strong conjure packet that you can work in the sweetening jar.

Place your conjure packet in the jar or medicine bottle on top of the powdered sugar. Take some of the leftover roots and herbs and sprinkle them over the packet while stating your petition in the name of the Father, Son, & Holy Ghost. Cover the packet with powdered sugar until you can't see it. You can use this trick for any conjure jar you make with sweeteners. I've worked my jars this way with sugar, honey, and different syrups. There are other sweeteners in Conjure work such as condensed milk but just like molasses you have to be careful because even though condensed milk is sweet and sugary it will eventually go sour and when it does it will sour up your work. This goes back to what I was saying earlier about using your common sense. I know REAL workers out there who for that very reason use milk to sour shit up however there are ways around this. If you are drawing someone or something using milk and honey like the Bible says you can do the work in a bowl.

Place your work in the bowl and pour milk and honey (or condensed milk) around it. State your petitions over the work every day when the hands of the clock rise. Before the milk goes sour, pour it in your yard facing East. By working this way you are asking God to work on your behalf and prosper you in the land of milk and honey just like he did with his people. I hope this information helps...Drlovebug

A Myth Or Truth

My whole life I heard my mama say “It’s not what you know, it’s who you know”; at this age in my life I believe this to be true. We all know Hyatt traveled the South looking for information for his books. We also know that he had a guide who took him around and introduced him to folks. There’s no argument there. Folks talked to him because someone they knew had brought him there. Folks are under the misconception that you can go into the Deep South and old folks are going to just start spewing all this information out because you asked. First off country folks and city folks are two very different breeds. Here’s an example of how someone knowing your family can change their whole attitude in what they will tell you and what they want tell you.

About three months ago my uncle who lives in Rock Castle County {Kentucky} was on my mind. I couldn’t shake the feeling something was wrong. In the past I could call the post office and the old post master who knew my family would give me information on my uncle. You can still get “general delivery mail” there. I call the post office and I get the new post master; she didn’t know my uncle and wouldn’t tell me a damn thing. She gave me the number to the sheriff’s office, I know she called ahead of me because the deputy didn’t ask me one question he just took my number for the sheriff and said he would call me back. Within 20 minutes the phone rang and it was the sheriff himself on the other end. I told him my uncle’s name and ask him if he knew where he was. Well that went over like the wind blowing. Within 60 seconds I knew he wasn’t gonna tell me nothing I was a stranger. Then I threw out the fact that I was born there but know live in Texas. Things got a little warmer.

When I told him who my Grandma was, my Daddy and my aunts I was in. He told me how sorry he was to hear about my Grandma and my Daddy’s passing. It was like he knew me my whole life and I promise you the man has never laid eyes on me. I gave him the last address I had for my uncle and he promised to check it out and get back to me. He said it was out in the county but he would drive out there. I thank him but I thought “yea right”. Within 2 hours the phone was ringing it was him. My uncle wasn’t there and the way it looked hadn’t been for a good while. He promised to keep an eye out for him and if he found him he would call me. I believe he will. This is no different than trying to find information about conjure work, unless they know you they are not gonna tell you anything. It’s not a “conspiracy theory” it’s a fact! Country folk don’t like strangers nor will they sit down and tell you their family business just because you ask; and conjure is their family business because it is part of their daily lives. Now if you can find someone in the city who was raised in it but thinks its backwards and a bunch of hocus pocus they may talk to you it depends on how deep their roots run. Working with Saint Peter

Saint Peter Conjure Altar

 

Saint Peter is a very powerful saint who's special to me. He's a door opener who'll open your roads for total prosperity and success or close doors that need to be shut. He has many symbols but the one most folks know him by are keys since he's always pictured holding keys in his hand. He's also symbolized by the rooster which as I was taught brings power. If you walk into Momma Starr's house you'll find rooster decorations all over the place. This is why when I think of Saint Peter and roosters I think of Starr because the rooster is her power symbol and I have to say at least from my experience that she lives up to it in every way!

 

Saint Peter can open or close doors with his keys which makes him a two headed worker. As a powerful two head conjure doctor Saint Peter knows how to "work with both hands" but you have to be very careful how you work with his keys. Anytime you are drawing something you have to work with his keys pointing UP. This is very important to remember otherwise you can cross yourself up! If you need to shut the door then Saint Peter is always petitioned with his keys pointing DOWN. In other words UP means GO and DOWN means NO! That's as simple as it gets. There's more you can do but this should give you an idea of how powerful St Peter really is...

 

Momma Starr & I have discussed working with St Peter and his keys numerous times on the radio show which you'll find at blogtalk. She also wrote a chapter on Saint Peter in her "Old Style Conjure: Candle Burning" book that she talks in detail about St. Peter and the different works you can do with him from justice and road opening to success which are his strongest areas. All in all I have to admit that Saint Peter has no limits in what he can or can't do.

 

As far back as I can remember Momma Starr was the ONLY conjure worker who petitioned St Peter before he got popular on the internet! Most folks were scared of him because of what they read in the Hyatt books and on the Hyatt forum which they had good reason. I can say the same thing about Black Hawk but I'll save that for another discussion. Before Starr started talking more about this powerful saint and his works I recall most workers saying they'd rather work with St Anthony. The thing about St Peter is that you have nothing to fear as long as you RESPECT him and the work he'll do. St Peter will stand by your side as long as you give God and him their credit.

 

Another thing to remember is that St Peter has no limits but this doesn't mean you can go willy nilly with your prayers and petitions. If you ask St Peter to close doors that aren't supposed to be closed or do your dirty work when you need to clean up your own mess he will turn on you! I'm so serious folks. This ain't no joke and it needs to be put out there. The Spirits are not puppets that you can pull by the string. If you work that way you'll end up hanging yourself by the rope. I've seen it happen.

 

This applies to any Spirit whether you're talking about BlackHawk, St Martha, et cetera, but this is especially important to remember in your dealings with St. Peter. If you don't act RIGHT with St Peter he'll turn your luck LEFT...Just my two cents. Drlovebug
