Growing Up Conjure

There is more to conjure work than just doing some spells as some folks call them. This is a living family tradition. We went to the graveyard to honor our kin for Valentines day. My 6 years old great niece paid us in and she paid us out. If you look on Janie's grave your will see a letter laying there that her 6 year old daughter wrote her and brought to her. Honoring your dead is a very large part of conjure but many folks who claim to be conjure workers today only know how to do spells as they call them. My 6 year old great niece knows more of the tradition than most so called conjure workers on-line do today. If it seems like I'm being a bitch then I guess I am because I m tired of seeing folks mixing and moxing a tradition that is my life. We did a family cleansing and reversal while we were there and I think we all felt a load lifted. I hope everyone has a wonderful blessed Valentines Day! Momma Starr

  2. I don't think you are either. Not in the least bit. If I didn't live at least 500miles away average from my ancestors I'd gladly make my rounds. I'm lucky to get back once or twice a year. At least my aunt gets back once a year to visit and leave flowers as well.

    1. Distance does make a difference for me it's a 5 hour drive round trip. Momma Starr

    2. If we had more than one car it wouldn't bother me either. And my husband is military and the car has to be around in case he's called to report quickly, it's a 7 hour drive for me to reach the farther relatives.

  3. I think it's wonderful that your family has this tradition. Just the other day I visited my great grandma's grave and cleaned it off real good. And then I took care of her neighbors too because they were all covered up. Next time I'm going to bring decorations and such, too, to really honor her.

    1. Thats wonderful, more folks should honor them. Just because the body is gone doesn't mean the spirit isn't there. Momma Starr
