The Holy Family & Your Ancestors for Peaceful Home

The Holy Family can be petitioned for any need you have but I'll talk about how to work with them to protect the family right along with your ancestors. I want to mention here that Family (yes with a capital F) is really important to me! I say this because Family is all that you have in the world.

Your foundation begins with the family. Your roots come from your ancestors. This is why it's really important to honor and work with your ancestors. Some workers will tell you that you aren't supposed to work with your dead and that it's only acceptable to honor them but I'll tell you that's a bunch of hogwash. I'm not going to rehash this argument here but I'm making a point.

Because your ancestors are the roots of your tree you have to honor them because you come from them. When you pay respects to your dead you are honoring your roots and your heritage. This is important for everyone especially people of Colour. Regardless of your ethnic background honor your dead people and show them some love because they deserve it. By paying due respect to your ancestors you are honoring your family which leads me to my next point about protecting the family.

Nobody's family is perfect. There'll always be ups and downs but some situations that happen in families are completely uncalled for. That's where conjure work comes in. I'm a big believer in working on the family to make sure everything runs smooth. I will do everything it takes to protect my family because they are an extension of my well-being. I'm sure most of y'all feel the same way.

I used to hesitate a lot when it came to locking down the bs in my family through conjure work. I felt sorry for them because I didn't want to go 'to that level' so to speak. I figured things would work out and I decided to remain in the corner. That's until I had it. Sometimes as a part of protecting your family you have to make a step forward and put your foot down where it won't move.

The most powerful way you can work Conjure to bring peace in the family is by petitioning your ancestors. You don't even have to light a candle or throw together a bunch of roots and herbs. Just a simple call to your Ancestors to get their attention and a strong petition so they can simmer the mess down. I do this when I need an extra hand to manage my kinfolks.

For those of y'all that need something to work with tear out Isaiah 26 V 3 from your bible. Write "PEACE BE STILL" or a similar petition on the Bible verse. Burn the bible verse to ash and load a white vigil candle with the ash. Don't add any names or personal effects to this candle. Light the vigil on your ancestor altar and state the verse out loud with your petition. You'll notice a difference immediately when you petition your ancestors esp in family matters. Here's the verse for your pleasure:

This is really simple and effective. As a part of protecting the family and keeping peace in the home you can also petition the Holy Family. Jesus, Mary, & Joseph make the Holy Family. They are God's example of how a family should love and treat one another. You can petition them to be a model for your loved ones so your home will always be a happy one. Not only will the Holy Family keep a peaceful home but they will also bring prosperity to the home and help you count your blessings.

To petition the Holy Family find a picture that you can work with. If you have the nativity scene with Jesus, Mary, and Joseph in the manger that's perfect for this work! A lot of folks have this in their home as part of Christmas decorations so check your pantry. Hold the picture to your mouth and say your prayers. Ask the Holy Family to protect your loved ones and bring prosperity in the home.

Write your petition and any special prayers for the family on a picture of you and your loved ones. Burn the photo to ash and load the ash into a blue vigil candle. You don't have to use vigils. I like them for different reasons. Dress your candle with olive oil, a power root, and a peaceful herb. To top of your work sprinkle a little powdered sugar on the vigil candle.

Place the Holy Family picture in the living room or kitchen and burn the blue vigil on top of it. You can also prop the photo on the hearth as a decorative piece and burn the vigil next to it. When you start working with the Holy Family you will feel it immediately.

What does a souring jar do? To be blunt; a souring jar is made to SOUR someone’s life! You don’t get to pick and choose what part of their life you are souring; the jar sours their whole life until it is busted period! There is a misconception with workers who have learned on-line Hoodoo about these jars. Real time Conjure workers would have been taught better. This just proves what I have said all along, internet Hoodoo’s only learned part of the work.

If you place a couple in a souring jar to separate them then you are SOURING BOTH PEOPLE! Why would anyone do that? Maybe because they don’t know any better! The only person that is put in the jar is the TARGET! Folks need to understand that when you sour a relationship that persons whole life is soured; money, love, job, family every aspect of the targets life. Folks really need to stop messing around with this work if they don’t know what they are doing.

Common sense will tell you anyone placed in a souring jar will be soured; that is a fact! So why am I hearing about so called workers doing these jars and crossing folks up? They are not only putting the target in the jar but the other person in the relationship in the jar; therefore they are both being soured. Some of these folks are claiming it has been handed down in their families; well I don’t want them doing work for me.

I’m not going to tell you how to work a souring jar; because this can be dangerous if it isn’t done right. Folks are taking Hoodoo/Conjure much too lightly when it can in fact be dangerous and you can ruin someone’s life if you don’t know what you are doing. How to Give a Spiritual Foot Washing

How to Give a Spiritual Foot Washing
The most important thing to remember if you decide to offer spiritual foot washing as
a service is that you treat the process with honor, love and respect. It states in the
bible that we should carry on spiritual foot washings in John 13 V 15.John 13 v 15 “For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to
you”

The whole purpose of the foot washing is to refresh the person’s spirit; but in this
process I have found that by doing the foot washing my own spirit is some how
refreshed. When we humble ourselves to honor our fellow man by washing their feet
and saying prayers for them we are also blessed. Like everything else no two
workers will do a spiritual foot washing the same way. There is no right way or wrong
way to do a foot washing. I think each worker lets the spirit guide them in their work.
One thing that I think we all agree on is that the basin must be a metal pan or tub.
Plastic basins shouldn’t be used.

I’m sharing the way I conduct a spiritual foot washing as a guideline, for those who
have never done a foot washing and would like too. Like everything else I write this
is not written in stone; take what information you can use and leave the rest alone.

Some workers use a spiritual soap and fresh water when they do a foot washing.
When I was young I remember our church having a foot washing. The lady who did
the foot washing added rose oil or rose water to the fresh water. I remember it
smelled like roses. When I first started doing foot washings I only used fresh water;
over the years my style has changed. One thing that has never varied is the blessing of the water and the use of white towels.

I always bless the water in the Name of God the Father God the Son and God the
Holy Spirit. I also always ask that God remove all things that need to be removed
from the person and to fill them with his cleansing and healing power.

Most of the time I use kosher salt, bluing and a little van van oil in my water or I will
use holy oil. There have been times when I have used an herbal wash. Once I have
my water ready I pray over the water, then I place the clients feet into the basin. I
was taught to wash downward from the knee to the feet. I prefer to use my hands for
this so I can pick up any energy on the person. I pray the whole time I am washing
their legs and feet.

I’m not going to tell you what to pray. Prayer is very personal and should come from
your heart. When I feel the time is right I remove their feet from the water and place
them on a white towel, I then dry their legs and feet; while repeating my prayers. I
then dress their knees and feet with oil, all the while praying. I have been blessed
with the gift of lying on hands, so I will dress the heart area with the oil, the forehead
and the back of the neck. I then place my left hand on their forehead and my right on
their neck and pray for them to be healed if they are ill and to be given power where
they are weak. This is my basic foot washing technique, unless spirit leads me to do
something different.

SPIRITUAL CLEANSING

SPIRITUAL CLEANSING

Cleansing is one of the most important areas of conjure that you will every study. Cleansing can handle just about any situation you will come across. I have found at times it's the ONLY way to help yourself or another person. If you're crossed you won't get any lasting results from your work. While you may see a difference for a short while the condition will continue until you give yourself a good cleansing. No matter what the root of the crossed condition might be, the results are always the same. Nothing in life seems to work out for a person that is crossed. This is a very important lesson that we all must learn and use in our daily lives.

I know sometimes we are busy and just don’t have time. Well you need to make the time! If you want your work to be a success then you have to keep your self cleansed. In general, all cleansings are performed for seven days! Seven is the traditional number associated with cleansing. The best planetary hours for doing cleansing are Venus, Jupiter and the Sun. Your cleansing work should start in one of these hours. You would use Venus for crossed love conditions, Jupiter for luck/money, and the Sun for all health problems. Or you can use a seven day candle. Then you would of course be using all of the planetary hours. If you are unable to pinpoint the problem, then start the cleansing in the hour of the Sun.

Although using the planets really has nothing to do with conjure work, you can add it to your cleansing. This will give you extra power to achieve the cleansing that you need. I look at cleansing and uncrossing as the same work; when you do both your removing blocked conditions from yourself. I consider this also healing work; because by removing the blocks that are in your way you are healing that area of your life. If you want to have total success in your life and your work then it is very important that you keep yourself cleansed and
protected at all times. If you choose not to do this then you are asking for trouble down the road.

Any time you do any kind of work you need to cleanse yourself first. You don’t want some unknown energies entering your work. Also you will be able to focus on the work at hand if you feel refreshed. I cannot stress this enough cleansing is the most important part of your work; if you expect to be successful. I have heard it said a few times that you don’t need to cleanse yourself until the job is done; well I say this is a load of crap. Are you going to leave a hotfoot work you have done and are still working on around you and yours? I hope you are smarter than that. Use your common sense! Don’t believe everything you hear from these so called experts.

Simple Conjuring...

Protection work

There are all kinds of ways to do protection conjure work. The simplest works are the ones that tend to be the strongest. Anytime you do protection work call on God (your Higher Power) and your ancestors. They will back you up like nobody else. For this work you’ll need a red vigil candle with a photo or name paper of you and your loved ones.

Place your photo or petition on a white plate. Light the red vigil on the photo. Then sprinkle Master of the Woods, salt, powdered sugar, and a pinch of red pepper around the candle on the plate. State your petition. Ask God and your Spirits to place a fiery wall of protection around you and your loved ones.

Success work

Anytime you do work especially to draw success to you face east towards the Sun.

Light a white vigil on your petition paper. Sprinkle calamus root, conjure herbs, and ingredients around the candle. Every day when the hands of the clock are rising, state your petition and ask God to open all your roads. As I said in the radio show purple and orange candles can be used for
this work but I prefer white because it’s the strongest color that will work to bring you success in ALL areas of your life.

Protection with Black Hawk

Black Hawk the warrior is a powerful spirit to work with in any situation you’re in need. He can do many things and unlike some other spirits there is no limit to what Black Hawk or White Eagle can do.

All you have to do is call on him and petition Black Hawk to protect you and the ones you love. You must first call on God before working with Spirit because God always comes FIRST in true conjure work. After you call on God the Father, God the Son, & God the Holy Ghost then you can
petition Father Black Hawk if you feel a connection with him or the Spirit that is drawn to you.

Ask the Spirit to place a strong wall of protection around you and your loved ones. When I petition Black Hawk and my Spirits for protection I light a white vigil in his conjure pot loaded with special ingredients. I place myself and the people I love in God’s hands. I call on the Spirit to protect what belongs to me and not to let anything stand between me and my blessings.

When you call on God and petition the Spirits for protection you have to know that your family is safe and that you can walk strong with deer’s feet. There are all kinds of ways to do protection work. This is only one of many works that I was taught and have picked up over the years.

Most important have faith in God and in your work. When you do protection conjure work you can say a prayer that you already know or just speak your heart. Speaking to God from your heart is most important. Anytime I pray I always pour my heart out to God because that is what God hears the most. I also say special prayers because they lend power to the work.

You can start your prayer like this “Father God I petition you at this hour and ask you to lend me and all those I love your right hand of protection. Cover us in battle Holy Father and conquer all strongholds and principalities formed against us in your Holy Name which is God the Father, God the Son, & God the Holy Ghost. I claim your right hand of Glory, Honor, Safety, and Protection at this hour around me and those I love through the Holy Trinity. Amen”

That was a simple and effective prayer for protection that came right out of the heart. You don’t need to embellish your prayers with fancy words just to talk to God. Speak your heart and let the
Spirit of Prayer work in you. I think the problem most people have when they pray especially in dire circumstances is that they want to make their words sound fancy when speaking from the inside is just as good. That was my problem until I learned to just let go and put it all in God’s hands. You should do the same.

How To Make A Lucky Hand

I thought I would share with you all how to make a lucky hand. Now I make these two ways either in a bag or in a packet. To me the packet is easier to carry. I use only red flannel for my lucky hands. If you want to color code them you can red for love, green for money, ect. We will make one for Money.

Now in the old days they would add a silver dime to these hands; but silver dimes are hard to come by now days so a regular dime will work just as good.

Trust me, I'm carrying this lucky hand and it works. Here's the instructions
Money Drawing Lucky Hand
Things Needed:
A small piece of red flannel
A dime
small piece of brown paper bag (torn NOT CUT WITH SISSORS)
Money drawing oil
3 beans
3 grains of rice
A Magnet
sm piece of Blue Flag
Pinch of Calamus
Personal items (hair, nail clippings, ect)
Lay out all your stuff and stay focused on your intent. Now write your name on the paper 9 times; once this is done write your desire on top of your name 9 times. Once the paper is ready fold it TOWARDS you, then turn it clockwise and fold it towards you again. Do this until you can't fold the paper any more.

Set the name paper in the center of the flannel; next add your personal items.Then the magnet, next the dime, then the other items.
Fold it up into a small packet and sew it closed with red thread. On the last stitch make 9 knots; on each knot as you pull it tight say MONEY. Now feed it money
drawing oil, while you are doing this talk to the packet and tell it what you need.Do this for 9 days.Then after the 9 days feed it once a week while talking to it. The best day to make and feed the packet is on a Thursday. Carry it with your money and DON'T ever let anyone else touch it.

Honoring Your Ancestors in Conjure

Hi Everyone,

I feel the need to discuss something important. Every year you always hear talk about
remembering your dead on Halloween and All Souls Day. I think this sounds okay but honestly you need to honor your ancestors every day.

You should always honor your ancestors. They need to be remembered for the life they sacrificed for you to be here. You are a living example of their legacy so it is not only your right but your RESPONSIBILITY to honor that legacy by giving back to all those who came before you. This not only applies to your foremothers and forefathers but also your living elders. Don’t forget the old folks in your family. They will eventually join the dead and you stand on their shoulders.

Our elders are important because they have a lot to teach about ourselves and our history so I suggest you take some time to give thanks to your elders and to all those that paved the way for you to be here today.

Some of y'all might be asking "How do I honor my dead?" All you gotta do is setup an ancestor table. Clean a small table with a mix of your urine, holy water, and a favorite perfume or cologne that your ancestor loved. This alone will draw them near. Pour some cool water in a clear glass and offer it with the light of a white candle and an old family Bible to your dead kinfolks.
Offer the candle and the glass of water in the sign of the cross and place it on your ancestor altar. Knock on your table and tell them how much you love and miss them. If you don’t know your ancestors then introduce yourself and go from there.

If you have any pictures of your deceased then add them to the ancestor table. Make sure there are no living links whether it be photos or otherwise on the ancestor table. The important thing is that you pray for your ancestors, talk to them, and thank them for the life they gave you.

There are many ways to pray for your ancestors. What's important is what flows from the heart. I usually start saying “Ouma (grandma), Oupa (grandpa) dankie vir die lewe dat julle vir me gegee he…” or something similar. That means “Ancestors thank you for the life you’ve given me…” Then I pray the Our Father and speak whatever is in my heart.

Whatever you do to honor your dead kinfolk always remember to do it from the heart. If your deceased relatives had a favorite food or drink they enjoyed in life then offer it to them. At first you might feel silly for doing all this but believe me it will pay off in the long run. Your ancestors are ready to work with you. If you take the time and pay attention you will start to hear
and feel the Spirit around you.

You just have to learn to LISTEN which is the hardest part!!! It requires a lot of time and patience but it is well worth the effort in your spiritual development. Honoring Your Ancestors is one of the foundations of strong conjure work.

Working with the Bible

Hey People,

I thought it really important to talk about the Bible in Conjure and how we use it. I know some of you heard Zora Neale Hurston of “Mules & Men” say “The Bible is the greatest Conjure book in the world.” Well I’m here to say “The Bible is the greatest Conjure book in the world!”

Let me tell you why. The Bible is full of spiritual work. The only problem is that you have to read between the lines because the works are in the stories. It doesn’t come out and tell you right away how to do a job. You have to get into the Spirit of the Bible to understand the works and what you’re looking for. That's key to learning how to work with your Bible when doing conjure work. Why do you think some say “Lord give me understanding of your Word and let me be guided by it?” They do this because as much wisdom as there is to be found in Scripture, it can be confusing for anyone. With that said you have to listen to Spirit if you want to understand how it applies to your situation.

Once you know what to look for then you’ll find work for any situation. There are tricks you can do for love, money, protection, success, and everything in between. Let's take a lot at Isaiah 62 V 1-3.

These verses show how God can reward us with total success and what you have to do to achieve it. Work this verse over an orange candle everyday while petitioning the Holy Trinity for total success. The success is already yours. All you have to do it claim it! Anytime you speak you are putting things into motion which is why you have to be careful with what you say. We bless and curse ourselves everyday by our words.

Working with the Bible is simple conjure work at its finest. There's a lot to discover. You just have to learn how to go into the deep end and still keep your head above water. I hope that by working with the Bible you'll realize the power that's already sitting between your hands in those pages. The same Bible you got in your counter drawer collecting dust is the same Bible that gives Conjure work a power you really won't find in a lot of places in my humble opinion. Some folks might tell you different but I’m telling you that the Bible has power and you can work with that power as long as you petition God with a pure heart. No more need for spell books and magical formularies. All you need is the Bible, some light to lead your work, and a little guidance.

I highly suggest anyone reading this to purchase Old Style Conjure: Working with The Bible book if you really want to learn how true traditional conjure workers work Scripture. I guarantee that you will learn REAL conjure work in Starr's book that you won't find elsewhere...

Faith: The Building Blocks of Conjure

Most folks don’t know what Jesus really meant when he gave us this Scripture or they don’t completely understand what God was telling us. Before you start anything in life you got to have faith in yourself and faith in the best outcome. This is the key to a successful life and the secret of Conjure work.

Before you start any work you must see it as a complete and total success. Faith starts with you so before you dig deep into the work you have to work on yourself and see yourself as a success. This is the biggest obstacle that keeps you from being successful in your spiritual endeavors. Trust me I know this from my own experience.

As you build faith and put forth the effort then you will begin to claim your power. Once you claim power you will make those mountains move in your life. This is the secret that old Conjure workers have: FAITH! Just as atoms are the building blocks of matter so is FAITH the building blocks of Conjure.

Once you have faith in yourself and faith in God Almighty you will change the world. We tend to underestimate ourselves and our truest potentials because of a lack of faith in ourselves. The worst thing you can ever do to block your blessings is to tell yourself you aren’t worth the best. You are worth every desire you can achieve and much more! Stop telling yourselves that you don’t deserve enough. That is detrimental to the blessings God has in store for you. Instead claim all your blessings because that’s what God wants for you.

Sure the roots, herbs, Bible, and candles are important in Conjure work. They have their place because there is a special power and purpose that God implanted in those items but without faith then the power in those things are weak and void. Faith is what gives soul and purpose to Conjure work. Work with faith, build it, and breathe it every day just like a mustard seed. The size of the seed doesn’t matter because that seed of faith will achieve total success as it sprouts.

So next time you are feeling a little down and in a rut say Matthew 17 V 20 and ask God to remind you of the power of Faith and what it can do. I hope this helps someone out there.

Isaiah 41

Isaiah is a very powerful book in the Bible. The 41st chapter is one of the first old testament prayers I learned to work with for uncrossing work. Say it over a white vigil held to your mouth whenever you feel crossed up. Light it and petition God to fight your battles for you. Repeat for a total of 7 days.

I love this chapter because it works like a double edged sword.

Isaiah 41

1Keep silence before me, O islands; and let the people renew their strength: let them come near; then let them speak: let us come near together to judgment.
2Who raised up the righteous man from the east, called him to his foot, gave the nations before him, and made him rule over kings? he gave them as the dust to his sword, and as driven stubble to his bow.
3He pursued them, and passed safely; even by the way that he had not gone with his feet.
4Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the LORD, the first, and with the last; I am he.
5The isles saw it, and feared; the ends of the earth were afraid, drew near, and came.

There are times when folks just want stay out of our space. They don't know how to mind their own business and keep their mouth's shut! If you find yourself in a spot like that then get a red candle, write the targets name in the wax. Pray the prayer below every hour on the hour until the candle burns out.

We need Thee, O Lord, to curb vicious tongues from making cruel judgments, vile criticisms, and untruthful statements. Dear Almighty God, silence our enemies. Keep them from speaking barbed words that cut into our hearts and souls. Make their unkind words fall upon deaf ears and shield us from their wickedness and evil. O Lord, make us sweet inside that we may be gentle with others, gentle in what we say, and gentle in what we do. In Thine own strong name we do pray. Amen
