The Holy Family & Your Ancestors for Peaceful Home

The Holy Family can be petitioned for any need you have but I'll talk about how to work with them to protect the family right along with your ancestors. I want to mention here that Family (yes with a capital F) is really important to me! I say this because Family is all that you have in the world.

Your foundation begins with the family. Your roots come from your ancestors. This is why it's really important to honor and work with your ancestors. Some workers will tell you that you aren't supposed to work with your dead and that it's only acceptable to honor them but I'll tell you that's a bunch of hogwash. I'm not going to rehash this argument here but I'm making a point.

Because your ancestors are the roots of your tree you have to honor them because you come from them. When you pay respects to your dead you are honoring your roots and your heritage. This is important for everyone especially people of Colour. Regardless of your ethnic background honor your dead people and show them some love because they deserve it. By paying due respect to your ancestors you are honoring your family which leads me to my next point about protecting the family.

Nobody's family is perfect. There'll always be ups and downs but some situations that happen in families are completely uncalled for. That's where conjure work comes in. I'm a big believer in working on the family to make sure everything runs smooth. I will do everything it takes to protect my family because they are an extension of my well-being. I'm sure most of y'all feel the same way.

I used to hesitate a lot when it came to locking down the bs in my family through conjure work. I felt sorry for them because I didn't want to go 'to that level' so to speak. I figured things would work out and I decided to remain in the corner. That's until I had it. Sometimes as a part of protecting your family you have to make a step forward and put your foot down where it won't move.

The most powerful way you can work Conjure to bring peace in the family is by petitioning your ancestors. You don't even have to light a candle or throw together a bunch of roots and herbs. Just a simple call to your Ancestors to get their attention and a strong petition so they can simmer the mess down. I do this when I need an extra hand to manage my kinfolks.

For those of y'all that need something to work with tear out Isaiah 26 V 3 from your bible. Write "PEACE BE STILL" or a similar petition on the Bible verse. Burn the bible verse to ash and load a white vigil candle with the ash. Don't add any names or personal effects to this candle. Light the vigil on your ancestor altar and state the verse out loud with your petition. You'll notice a difference immediately when you petition your ancestors esp in family matters. Here's the verse for your pleasure:

³ You will keep in perfect peace
those whose minds are steadfast,
because they trust in you.

This is really simple and effective. As a part of protecting the family and keeping peace in the home you can also petition the Holy Family. Jesus, Mary, & Joseph make the Holy Family. They are God's example of how a family should love and treat one another. You can petition them to be a model for your loved ones so your home will always be a happy one. Not only will the Holy Family keep a peaceful home but they will also bring prosperity to the home and help you count your blessings.

To petition the Holy Family find a picture that you can work with. If you have the nativity scene with Jesus, Mary, and Joseph in the manger that's perfect for this work! A lot of folks have this in their home as part of Christmas decorations so check your pantry. Hold the picture to your mouth and say your prayers. Ask the Holy Family to protect your loved ones and bring prosperity in the home.

Write your petition and any special prayers for the family on a picture of you and your loved ones. Burn the photo to ash and load the ash into a blue vigil candle. You don't have to use vigils. I like them for different reasons. Dress your candle with olive oil, a power root, and a peaceful herb. To top of your work sprinkle a little powdered sugar on the vigil candle.

Place the Holy Family picture in the living room or kitchen and burn the blue vigil on top of it. You can also prop the photo on the hearth as a decorative piece and burn the vigil next to it. When you start working with the Holy Family you will feel it immediately.

The Power of Salt

Salt is wonderful for all kinds of conditions. You can use it in cleansing, uncrossing, luck, prosperity, you name it. Salt can keep troubles out your door or send someone's mess thrown your way right back at them.

Salt can be used in any kind of work so from a worker's perspective it is an all purpose ingredient.

I have found through personal experience that different types of salt work stronger for me. For example I think the BEST salt to use in cleansing work especially if you are doing spiritual baths is kosher salt. This stuff is phenomenal. If you are doing a cut and clear go kosher.

I don't know why kosher salt works so well but everytime I've ever used it the results have been strong. I've also had similar experience with pink himalayan and rock salt.

A simple work you can do to protect your home is to place a cross of devil's shoestrings tied with red string in a bowl of salt. Pray over your bowl then place it over or near your front door.

You can also sprinkle salt over which you've prayed Psalm 23 at your front door. This will keep troubles from coming in your house.

To protect someone you love sprinkle a ring of salt around their picture. Place a cross on the photo and petition Jesus to cover your loved one with his most powerful protection.

If you want to protect your house from getting crossed up lay small piles of salt in all the corners of your home. Place a blessed bay leaf and a block of camphor on top of the pile.

There's so many tricks you can do with salt. It doesn't matter what salt you got.
Oh and one more thing. My momma always said never run out of salt or your luck will run out the door. She also said anytime you move into a new home always bring new salt.

The Darker the Sweet the Stronger the Heat

You know there's an old saying "The blacker the berry the sweeter the juice." I definitely know this is true for sugars and sweeteners in Hoodoo but as I would put it "the darker the sweet the stronger the heat."

What I mean by this is that in my experience I've always had more success using darker sugars and syrups than with the lighter sweeteners.

Brown sugar works stronger than white sugar. Try using it to draw money to you or for any work that has to do with bringing peace and prosperity to the family. Do the same thing with white sugar and compare the difference.

Brown and other darker sugars work better in Conjure work because they're SWEETER plus they're PURE and unrefined. These small differences in texture do make a big difference in the work just like they would in a good ole pie.

Most old timey works call for brown sugar. Brown sugar always reminds me of home. I think about 'Mamie' (cajun french for granny) and sweet potato pies made with brown sugar and a perfect sprinkling of cinnamon at the top. I miss Mamie and her pies that it brings tears to my eyes.

To give an idea of how to put brown sugar to use here's a simple trick for prosperity using a medicine bottle.

In a small medicine bottle add some brown sugar, cinnamon, sassafras root, devil's shoestring, and your petition written on a $2 bill. Add a little holy water and pray Psalm 23. Close the bottle and shake it while stating your petition.

Watch your brown sugar work its magic. It has a different feel than regular white sugar. The same can be said of salts..More on that later. Drlovebug

Prosperity Work

Deuteronomy 28:11-12

Write your money petition on this bible verse and burn it to ash. Add the ash to a blue vigil with a pinch of sugar and five finger grass.

Hold the blue vigil to your mouth and state your petition. Light the candle.

Everyday as that vigil burns state your petition. Do the work when the hands of the clock are rising. Drlovebug

Psalm 91

This is one of my most favorite Psalms. It's good for protection, peace in the home, and general blessings.

Say this prayer three times over a white handkerchief.

3Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

4He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

5Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

6Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

Graveyard Work

Graveyard work has become a little too popular with online hoodoo for the wrong reasons. Many folks are working with graveyard spirits they don't know.

What's even more problematic is that internet workers are teaching unjustified crossing work to everybody. Just look at the blogs, forums, and some of the websites out there. You'll see all kinds of information about how to call a dead spirit to confuse, hot foot, or mess somebody's life up.

These workers are quick to tell you how to goofer somebody but what if you goofer yourself? How do you remove a haunt that you called to ride someone that is now riding you? None of these workers talk about removing a haunt that you conjured but they are quick to pass information that could put you in a mess.

A lot of online workers will say take a bath and read psalm 51 but that's a bunch of crap. You have called a spirit into your life to work on someone. How do you know if that dead spirit will do the job? How do you know if that haunt won't cross you up?

Truth is you don't know the spirit or what it can do. If that spirit turns on you then you're screwed...I can tell you right now that a jacked up bath with psalm 51 ain't gonna pull a mad as hell spirit that you sent off you.

Now don't get me wrong. I do not have a problem with doing work in the graveyard. Working with your ancestors at their graves is some strong work. You know your ancestors and they know you. You have history with them.

I just think some parts of graveyard work are too stressed. People are making this work too spooky and exotic when really there is nothing spooky about spending time with your dead.

I am surprised that some folks would rather call up any spirit they don't know from jump street then talk to God and work with what they already have. Drlovebug

Beans: Make your Conjure sprout...

Beans are really good for prosperity work. They draw money and blessings. You can add them to a money bowl with a few items.

Beans are also good for drawing out warts. Rub them on the affected area then throw them at a crossroads with some change.

They work like rice. They swell up and absorb. If you work with beans then your money will swell up.

I've seen folks online mention only Mojo beans for luck and success but truth is all beans bring good luck.

My favorites are Mojo beans (fava) and red beans. Black eyed peas are good too. There's a lot of work you can do with beans besides eating them. Drlovebug

Rice: Can I get some hoodoo with that?

Rice is good for protection and prosperity work. If you want to draw money into your home add a little rice to your mop water with some brown sugar, Dirt dauber nest, and a magnet.

You can also use rice in a spiritual bath for prosperity and success.

To protect your home from tricks sprinkle rice outside around your house. It will swell up. Whatever is being thrown at you will be soaked by the rice. Drlovebug

Words hold power!

There is no power like the spoken word. Even the Bible says God created the world and everything by his Word.

When God said "Let there be light, there was light." He created the heavens and stars by his Word.

You must be careful of the words you speak. You can either bless yourself or cross your own behind up by your words and thoughts. Whatever you speak will bring forth life or death.

What this means is that we can build up or tear down. Our words carry weight for the better or worse. What you say and do has an effect on you and others.

Traditional conjure workers know this which is why they are very selective of what they say. Old workers never go around spouting off with the mouth.

Instead they sit there and listen to everything you say. They can read you because your words come from the heart which is tied to your Spirit.

Words can be strongholds so when you have let people knock you down with words cleanse yourself and move on.

If you tear your own self down say something constructive. You must not limit yourself. Drlovebug

Roots in Conjure

The root is the most powerful part of Conjure. The root is where you find Spirit.

When you put your roots into a work you are not throwing a bunch of ingredients together.

Each root, item, or ingredient will add power to your job so that it is successful. Talk to your roots, herbs, and ingredients when doing your work.

Hold them to your mouth and state your petition. If you hold the roots in your hand and pray long enough you'll feel the power in those items. Drlovebug

Give Thanks for your Days

Every day when I get up I always give my day to God.

If you give your days to God then they'll be easier to handle. All you have to do is pray from your heart.

I start my prayer like this: "Father God I thank you for the new lease on life you've given me. I give this day with all my troubles to you. Give me the means to prosper today and all my days on Earth. Amen."

See that was simple. Prayer is the most powerful offering you can make to Spirit. You'll notice a difference when you let Spirit handle your days. Drlovebug

Caring for Spirit

If you are going to work with Spirit then you need to take of Spirit.

I was taught to always care for your Spirits even when you don't make petitions. I learned that my elders were right. I always honor my spirits and feed them even when I don't need anything. This strengthens my bond with them.

It also makes your work stronger. When you provide for your spirits they'll work harder when you need their help. It also means less work you have to do. When my spirits are tended to I've noticed that everything runs smoother but if I forget or slip up then things start to get out of line.

Nobody's perfect. Sometimes you get busy or things come up but make Spirit your top priority. If you forget to light a candle to your ancestors and give them their cup of coffee then get up and do it. Please make sure you apologize.

When you make a commitment to Spirit honor it and stick to that commitment. I always make sure to honor all my Spirits once a week. I give them their offerings and thank them for my blessings.

This is how conjure workers build up their power. Some workers only give to Spirit when they want something. Others might say don't spoil your spirits or they'll get lazy.

I can't say if these workers are right or wrong because all our experiences are different. I can only speak for me. In my experience I've seen doors open in my life and blessings unfold because Spirit takes care of me.

Petition the Saint vs God

I'm noticing a disturbing trend in the last few years. There are alot of workers who have issues with God and the Bible but still want to work with the saints.

These Internet workers are half-assing their hoodoo work because they're leaving some vital elements out. How can you work with the creation but ignore the Creator? This doesn't make any sense! You have to acknowledge GOD first then Spirit. Not only is this disrespectful but in a way this is blaphemous because in many cases some workers will call on deities or other spirits as Creators/trices before working with saints.

However there is a problem with this analogy as well. For one the saints only bow down and worship the God that's talked about in the Bible. Many of these saints died for the God of biblical times. To expect your saints to bow to anyone else is downright rude and shows lack of respect.

I'm not pushing religion but stating truth! If you're going to work with saints go all the way and acknowledge the source which is God of the Bible. Don't half ass your hoodoo and ignore the powers that deserve their due!

It's like going to someone's house and saying hello to all their guests but not saying a thing to the host. Remember when you work with Saints you are in God's house. Now be a good boy/girl and show some manners. Drlovebug

Fiery Wall of Protection

Zechariah 2:4-5

4 and said to him: “Run, tell that young man, ‘Jerusalem will be a city without walls because of the great number of people and animals in it. 5 And I myself will be a wall of fire around it,’ declares the LORD, ‘and I will be its glory within.’


I need to clear up something about Fiery Wall. First of all Fiery Wall of Protection is a prayer with products based on the name; not the opposite.

If you do a google search the first thing that'll come up are formulas, recipes, spells, etc called Fiery Wall but that's not what the work is based on. Fiery Wall of Protection comes from the Bible in the book of Zechariah from the Old Testament. I've listed the verse above.

Fiery Wall of Protection is one of God's promises to those who earnestly ask. But you have to petition for it. A lot of workers online are talking about Fiery Wall, blogging about the products, and pushing the formulas but they're not giving credit to the source that gave us this powerful form of protection which is the Bible.

The ironic thing about this is that many of these workers have an aversion to God or the Bible but they dont realize that these are the sources of their work even though they officially want nothing to do with the Christian elements of conjure. You can't throw out the baby with the bathwater!

Once you understand why God has given us fiery wall then with a little knowledge and spirit-led wisdom you'll be well on your way to putting a fiery wall of protection around you and your loved ones. Drlovebug

Crossing Work

Hey folks,

I'll be honest here. I'm tired of all the nastiest works in hoodoo being thrown around on the Internet for grabs. People run to that work like ants on sugar but don't know what the hell they're doing.

Let's talk about the consequences of crossing work and hopefully put an end to it. First of all people think they can and should do any work they want especially if they find information online. This is not true!

Part of the blame goes to some of the Internet workers teaching this stuff. There are some works people including internet hoodoos shouldn't be doing at all. Yet time and time again these workers will say the information needs to be preserved for generations.

Now I'm not knocking any worker but I beg to differ on this issue! There is a reason old workers do not want everyone having this information. It's highly dangerous and brings more problems than resolutions.

If you do work in the graveyard, call up a spirit you don't know, or do any nasty work without knowing what you're doing then you are crossing your own self up! Why? Because you are drawing spirits into your life that you don't know how to get rid of.

It's easy to invite these spirits in but getting them out is a whole different matter. Internet workers will tell you all day how to call up demons, intranquil spirits, and whatever the hell to do if you want to jinx somebody's life but when it comes to cleansing they get tight lipped or they tell you to buy a cleansing product or do a bath.

In alot of cases you need more than a bath and some products to fight a spirit that you can't shake off your back where in the beginning you should have just left the work alone.

My best word of advice to you is that if you can't remove a spirit from you or the target you're working on then you definitely are not a match for crossing work. You might shoot yourself in the foot...or somewhere not so nice. Drlovebug

Blood of Jesus

Pleading the Blood of Jesus over your work is the most powerful work you can do. When you cover yourself and your spiritual work with the Blood of Jesus you are asking God to confer a protection over you that can never be undone.

This works on many levels and does something for your work. For one when you cover your work with the Blood of Jesus it keeps spirits from interfering in your work. A lot of folks online and Internet workers talk about all kinds of work but they never tell you that you have to cover your work FIRST and FOREMOST before doing any job!!! This is extremely important but it's not being taught.

Anytime you do a job you've got to put armor around the work so it can't be undone. I've never seen anyone talk about this online and I've been on the Internet for 7 years. Not even your famous Internet hoodoos or bootleggers teach this information even though you'll learn it from dealing with old conjure workers.

Covering my work was one of the first things I learned when I started hands on training. It's the most basic thing every worker new or experienced should know how to do. If you can cover your work esp with the Blood of Jesus then your work will pack a punch that'll hit its target.

Now I've got to put it out there bluntly that you cannot cover your work if it is UNJUSTIFIED!!! If someone throws work on another person that's unjustified then they will get hit with that work in due time. If the victim being wrongly thrown is a worker that knows what to do then whoever is throwing the work will get their ass bit hard.

I had to state that because some people think they can do anything and get away with it. Covering your work is another way to lock it down for total success. Traditional conjure workers have always done this. Why? Because it really works! That's why conjure workers are hard hitters and hard getters: they HIT hard to GET hard!

I'll tell a little more about the Blood of Jesus. It's very simple and powerful. I still remember the first time I did it. I was being hit hard in my life. Things were starting to go sour and the shit was about to hit the fan.

In other words my life was souring up like a vinegar jar. And yes the pun is intended. And one day I was praying to God. I said, "Lord help me." And I heard a clear voice say, "Why don't you plead the Blood of Jesus over yourself?"

The voice said it again this time more loudly and with clarity. I was scared because I never did this before even though I knew about it. So I said, "Lord I give myself over to your will" then I began my prayer.

As soon as I pleaded the Blood of Jesus instantly I felt POWER pour from the crown of my head down through my body! This power was hot and invigorating. It felt like FIRE and it made me sweat but I felt protected and empowered because from that moment I knew God would always be with me through thick and thin. I felt good.

That first experience of being covered with the Blood of Jesus and many afterward has impacted my life on so many levels. It has covered me through thick and thin. When you are covered by your Higher Power it teaches you some important lessons you should never forget.

I dont mean to sound so churchy guys but I needed to share this experience to help someone out there. I dont practice the religion of man but I live in the religion of SPIRIT. God Bless...Drlovebug

Lets Talk Brooms!

I love brooms! I always have since I was big enough to sweep with one. There is a lot of superstition about brooms; is it really superstition? Broom straw plucked from a new broom then bound together in the shape of a cross placed over the door will protect the home. If you are around my home and the broom falls you will hear a chorus of voices say “broom fell company is coming” I can’t ever remember not hearing that. If you sweep over someone’s feet either the law will be drawn to them or an argument is coming. It depends on who is around as to which superstition you hear. You hear folks talking all the time about sweeping things out of their houses; what about sweeping things in. I learned this at a young age.

About 6 or 7 years ago I was giving some classes at a shop whose business was not doing well. The classes were helping but folks just weren’t spending their money in the shop. I told the shop owners about a trick I learned a long time ago to sweep money into the house. Basically you throw change and bills in the door way then using a broom you sweep it into the shop or home while praying that you are prosperous. Needless to say they had a record sales day. This really works. If you are bringing money into the home start on the side walk or near the road and sweep it towards your home. This will bring money in. The broom can be used to cleanse away crossed conditions by brushing yourself off with it from head to toe.

If you want to stop haunts from bothering you at night place a broom across the door of your bedroom. If you want to let your dead reach you in your dreams place a photo of them on the broom head and put the broom under your bed; you will dream of them. Sweeping the yard from back to front will kill any tricks that have been thrown in the yard. There is much more but I think this is enough food for thought for right now. You want look at the broom the same.
