Copy Cat Hoodoo

I recently did a blog post on some sweetening and domination work. Eventually I found my work duplicated elsewhere. The ironic thing about this is that the copycatter is a "spiritual worker." I don't like to stir up mess or anything but I have to speak the truth.

If you are truly who you say you are then you don't need to steal anybody's information just to make yourself look good. I've seen a lot of this over the years with Internet hoodoos. They dig around through HYATT books, Cat's website and course, Old Style Conjure, and other workers searching for information. These same workers either (1) repeat the same information usually word for word or (2) change it around just a little bit to make it seem different even though it's a repeat of stuff that other worker's have said or taught over the years.

I don't believe in cat calling because frankly I think that is childish but I do believe that as conjure workers we have the right to speak out the truth and call out the bs when necessary. The truth of the matter is that if you are truly what you allege let that show in your own work, action, and character. Your actions will speak for themselves. Don't copycat me or any other workers for that matter and then try to make yourself look high and mighty. The bs is obvious especially to anyone who really pays attention and has discernment. The Holy Family & Your Ancestors for Peaceful Home

The Holy Family can be petitioned for any need you have but I'll talk about how to work with them to protect the family right along with your ancestors. I want to mention here that Family (yes with a capital F) is really important to me! I say this because Family is all that you have in the world.

Your foundation begins with the family. Your roots come from your ancestors. This is why it's really important to honor and work with your ancestors. Some workers will tell you that you aren't supposed to work with your dead and that it's only acceptable to honor them but I'll tell you that's a bunch of hogwash. I'm not going to rehash this argument here but I'm making a point.

Because your ancestors are the roots of your tree you have to honor them because you come from them. When you pay respects to your dead you are honoring your roots and your heritage. This is important for everyone especially people of Colour. Regardless of your ethnic background honor your dead people and show them some love because they deserve it. By paying due respect to your ancestors you are honoring your family which leads me to my next point about protecting the family.

Nobody's family is perfect. There'll always be ups and downs but some situations that happen in families are completely uncalled for. That's where conjure work comes in. I'm a big believer in working on the family to make sure everything runs smooth. I will do everything it takes to protect my family because they are an extension of my well-being. I'm sure most of y'all feel the same way.

I used to hesitate a lot when it came to locking down the bs in my family through conjure work. I felt sorry for them because I didn't want to go 'to that level' so to speak. I figured things would work out and I decided to remain in the corner. That's until I had it. Sometimes as a part of protecting your family you have to make a step forward and put your foot down where it won't move.

The most powerful way you can work Conjure to bring peace in the family is by petitioning your ancestors. You don't even have to light a candle or throw together a bunch of roots and herbs. Just a simple call to your Ancestors to get their attention and a strong petition so they can simmer the mess down. I do this when I need an extra hand to manage my kinfolks.

For those of y'all that need something to work with tear out Isaiah 26 V 3 from your bible. Write "PEACE BE STILL" or a similar petition on the Bible verse. Burn the bible verse to ash and load a white vigil candle with the ash. Don't add any names or personal effects to this candle. Light the vigil on your ancestor altar and state the verse out loud with your petition. You'll notice a difference immediately when you petition your ancestors esp in family matters. Here's the verse for your pleasure:

Isaiah 26:3

 

³ You will keep in perfect peace
those whose minds are steadfast,
because they trust in you.

This is really simple and effective. As a part of protecting the family and keeping peace in the home you can also petition the Holy Family. Jesus, Mary, & Joseph make the Holy Family. They are God's example of how a family should love and treat one another. You can petition them to be a model for your loved ones so your home will always be a happy one. Not only will the Holy Family keep a peaceful home but they will also bring prosperity to the home and help you count your blessings.

To petition the Holy Family find a picture that you can work with. If you have the nativity scene with Jesus, Mary, and Joseph in the manger that's perfect for this work! A lot of folks have this in their home as part of Christmas decorations so check your pantry. Hold the picture to your mouth and say your prayers. Ask the Holy Family to protect your loved ones and bring prosperity in the home.

Write your petition and any special prayers for the family on a picture of you and your loved ones. Burn the photo to ash and load the ash into a blue vigil candle. You don't have to use vigils. I like them for different reasons. Dress your candle with olive oil, a power root, and a peaceful herb. To top of your work sprinkle a little powdered sugar on the vigil candle.

Place the Holy Family picture in the living room or kitchen and burn the blue vigil on top of it. You can also prop the photo on the hearth as a decorative piece and burn the vigil next to it. When you start working with the Holy Family you will feel it immediately.

Working Conjure Jars with Sugars...

 
Most folks on the Internet know about honey jars in Conjure work. Honey is strong but it can work slow. I was taught that if you want to speed up any work you're doing then add powdered sugar. I have found this to be true through personal experience.

Sugar works fast in Conjure work. Powdered sugar works even FASTER because of the texture. What folks need to remember is that the texture of your sweeteners can and do affect your work. Some online workers will tell you otherwise but conjure work is all about common sense as far as I'm concerned. For example molasses is sweet but it runs slow. If you put something in molasses it will SLOW it down! This is why molasses is used in Conjure to slow something down or bring a situation to a complete HALT!

If you want to do the opposite then use sugar or syrup in your conjure jars. Sugar and syrup works so strong because as you shake the jar it will move just as fast as you work the conjure jars. This is why honey can bring slow results at times because it runs slow. I'm not saying honey isn't good for work but I am stating that as good as it is honey can make your work a little slow. If you're looking for an extra push then you're better off working with sugar or syrups like karo or maple syrup for example. When you put together your sweetening jar don't forget to shake it up while stating your petition. This is how you work a conjure jar. Some online hoodoo rootworkers do not work this way and might tell you different but this is the way I was taught to get the job done and it works plain and simple. Just try it and see what happens. I think you'll notice a difference in your work. As they say "Different strokes for different folks."

One way I was taught by Momma Starr to work a powerful conjure jar or any work for that matter is to build up your work in layers. If you are putting together a sweetening jar first you add a layer of powdered sugar at the bottom of the jar while stating your prayers to God. Tear out the bible verse or chapter from Scripture and write out your petition on the bible verse. Add your power roots, herbs, and ingredients to the petition and fold the petition TOWARDS you around the roots and herbs into a little packet. As you fold the packet towards you state your petition. Now you got a strong conjure packet that you can work in the sweetening jar.

Place your conjure packet in the jar or medicine bottle on top of the powdered sugar. Take some of the leftover roots and herbs and sprinkle them over the packet while stating your petition in the name of the Father, Son, & Holy Ghost. Cover the packet with powdered sugar until you can't see it. You can use this trick for any conjure jar you make with sweeteners. I've worked my jars this way with sugar, honey, and different syrups. There are other sweeteners in Conjure work such as condensed milk but just like molasses you have to be careful because even though condensed milk is sweet and sugary it will eventually go sour and when it does it will sour up your work. This goes back to what I was saying earlier about using your common sense. I know REAL workers out there who for that very reason use milk to sour shit up however there are ways around this. If you are drawing someone or something using milk and honey like the Bible says you can do the work in a bowl.

Place your work in the bowl and pour milk and honey (or condensed milk) around it. State your petitions over the work every day when the hands of the clock rise. Before the milk goes sour, pour it in your yard facing East. By working this way you are asking God to work on your behalf and prosper you in the land of milk and honey just like he did with his people. I hope this information helps...Drlovebug

The Darker the Sweet the Stronger the Heat

You know there's an old saying "The blacker the berry the sweeter the juice." I definitely know this is true for sugars and sweeteners in Hoodoo but as I would put it "the darker the sweet the stronger the heat."

What I mean by this is that in my experience I've always had more success using darker sugars and syrups than with the lighter sweeteners.

Brown sugar works stronger than white sugar. Try using it to draw money to you or for any work that has to do with bringing peace and prosperity to the family. Do the same thing with white sugar and compare the difference.

Brown and other darker sugars work better in Conjure work because they're SWEETER plus they're PURE and unrefined. These small differences in texture do make a big difference in the work just like they would in a good ole pie.

Most old timey works call for brown sugar. Brown sugar always reminds me of home. I think about 'Mamie' (cajun french for granny) and sweet potato pies made with brown sugar and a perfect sprinkling of cinnamon at the top. I miss Mamie and her pies that it brings tears to my eyes.

To give an idea of how to put brown sugar to use here's a simple trick for prosperity using a medicine bottle.

In a small medicine bottle add some brown sugar, cinnamon, sassafras root, devil's shoestring, and your petition written on a $2 bill. Add a little holy water and pray Psalm 23. Close the bottle and shake it while stating your petition.

Watch your brown sugar work its magic. It has a different feel than regular white sugar. The same can be said of salts..More on that later. Drlovebug
